Troicki beats Schuettler - Serbia leads 1-0



Serbia leads 1-0 against Germany in the finals of the 32nd ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP. The 23-year old player, Viktor Troicki, turned out to be too strong for his ten opponent who is ten years his senior. He defeated Rainer Schuettler 6-4, 7-6 in a close, competitive match. For Troicki, who is ranked eight places behind Schuettler, a late break in the first set was sufficient. In the second set, he had match point at 5-4, however, Schuettler managed to break him but lost the match after 1 hour 55 minutes in the tiebreak. Now, the ball has been placved in Philipp Kohlschreiber’s court. He has to win his singles match against Janko Tipsarevic for Germany to regain the chance to win the title. Dusseldorf (pps)
