Roddick to Compete for USA The USA will compete at the ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP (May 18-24, 2008) at the Duesseldorf Rochusclub with their super star Andy Roddick. The 25-year-old has already won two tournaments this year, in Dubai and San Jose, defeating the world’s number 2, Rafael Nadal and number 3, Novak Djokovic back to back in Dubai. The present number 6 in the World Rankings will now meet the world’s top player, Roger Federer, in the quarter-finals at the current Masters event in Miami. Roddick and his team are the reigning Davis Cup champions. The US boys defeated Russia by 4-1 in the final at the beginning of December 2007. Mikhail Youzhny and Igor Andreev both were in the Russian team. The two Russians have also entered the 2008 World Team Championship and are planning a revenge in Duesseldorf. It is not yet known who will represent the USA alongside Roddick at the Rochusclub.
