This year's ARAG ATP World Team Championship will feature a gathering of past and present German participants, including Boris Becker and Eric Jelen, who have already confirmed their attendance.
Becker and Jelen won the deciding doubles match against Argentina in May 1989 to secure the first triumph of a German team in Düsseldorf. Becker was also a member of the Championship team in 1998, a squad that included current ATP stars Tommy Haas and Nicolas Kiefer.
Host country Germany and the U.S.A. are the only countries to have participated in the ARAG ATP World Team Championship every year since the tournament's inception in 1978. The two countries and Spain have each won a tournament-best four titles.
