The ARAG ATP World Team Championship, to be held from May 20-26 at the Düsseldorf Rochusclub, will celebrate its 30th edition this year with numerous activities commemorating the biggest tennis event of the region.
On Thursday, April 26, Lord Mayor Joachim Erwin, Tournament Director Dietloff von Arnim and guests opened the photo exhibition, "30 Years of Tennis World Championship," at the Düsseldorf City Hall. The exhibition will continue to be on display at the regional capital until May 11th, and will then be featured from May 14 - 26 at the shopping mall SEVENS (Koenigsallee, Düsseldorf).
This year's ARAG ATP World Team Championship will also feature a gathering of past and present German participants, including Boris Becker and Eric Jelen, who have already confirmed their attendance. Becker and Jelen won the deciding doubles match against Argentina in May 1989 to secure the first triumph of a German team in Düsseldorf.
