The raffles at the traditional press evening of the Rochusclub on the occasion of the 2008 ARAG WORLD TEAM CUP brought €1,720 which were increased by the Turnier GmbH to €2,000. The money is going to the charity Ambulanter Kinderhospizdienst Duesseldorf supporting fatally ill children with a shortened life expectancy and their families.

For the first time the press evening took place at the Frankenheim Brewery. The about 100 media representatives enjoyed the delicious Rhenish specialities in the covered beer garden of the brewery. Highlights of the evening were as always the award ceremony for the winners of the journalists' tennis tournament for the HEAD SPORTS WEAR CUP and the raffles with more than 200 prizes donated by the sponsors of the World Team Championship. Tournament director Dietloff von Arnim once again thanked all companies supporting the event and expressly emphasised the importance of good relationships with the media.
