Monday afternoon German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, of the FC Schalke 04, made an appearance at the Rochusclub. In the past Nueur played both soccer and tennis with his club, but ultimately chose soccer to be his main priority. He continues to have a love for tennis.

Today was Neuer's first time to the Rochusclub and ARAG World Team Cup. Neuer was seen on court 11 playing tennis with Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany. Kohlschreiber follows soccer and is a fan of FC Bayern. Despite their differences of soccer team loyalties, they enjoyed a friendly practice match.

When Neuer was asked about his impressions of the Rochusclub and the ARAG World Team cup he replied, "I have already been to the Davis Cup in Krefeld, but the atmosphere here is really something special."
